Review – Wicked Pictures’ Rocki Whore Picture Show (2011)

Review by Vittoria Buzza

As many of you may recall from my review of Hustler’s This Ain’t Glee XXX (2010), I have a profound love of musicals. I am one of those people who sings and dances along and won’t shut up. As much as I hate to admit it, that’s me.

So you can imagine what I’m like when I am in the midst of one of my FAVORITE musicals. Maximize that dancing and singing to the tenth degree, oh my!

I have never really been left wanting by musicals (they generally treat me right); however, something more magically melodious than I had ever considered possible landed in my lap recently – an adult version of one of my favorite musicals of ALL TIME!

Ah yes, the universe hath created an explosion – the explosion that is Wicked Pictures’ Rocki Whore Picture Show: A Hardcore Parody (2011)!

First things first… As I looked at this fine film’s packaging, I could not help but reminisce about my times with the original Rocky. The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) has been a favorite of mine for as long as I can remember. I have gone to countless sing-a-longs and shows and have dressed up in far too revealing clothing in celebration of Rocky time and again…

…because Rocky is a very sexy musical, and I have felt that sexiness in a multitude of ways.

One of the things that I remember the most vividly during my experiences with Rocky when I was younger was the awakening of my sexual desires. As I watched Dr. Frank-N-Furter trick Janet into sleeping with him, walk around in sexy high heels, and sing about being a transvestite, something I could not then articulate was ignited in me. Whatsmore, I found that my love for Magenta grew with each performance and/or showing… and soon enough, that love turned into lust.

(Yes, I have a thing for alien maids with huge, frizzy hair and pale faces! ;)

I have always experienced The Rocky Horror Picture Show as a very sexual musical, but never did I know just how sexual it could all get (literally)… until NOW.

As I mentioned earlier, the character of Frank is probably one of the strongest driving sexual forces in the Rocky film. Thankfully, Mac Turner’s Frank ‘N Beans in Rocki has an uncanny resemblance to Tim Curry’s original performance. His voice, mannerisms, and physical appearance were very much in sync. The sexual driving force I love so dearly is definitely present in Rocki all the way!

And Frank ‘N Beans is just the beginning! The similarities between Rocki and Rocky honor the cult classic… but with the added bonus of all the sexual encounters and adventures you know you wanted to see in the original.

Rocki starts off in much the same way as the original. Brad (Rocco Reed) and Janet (jessica drake) are having trouble with their car on a rainy night. Ah! The difference here is that it’s not really their car that’s having problems, but their GPS, which indicates that they are “in the middle of nowhere.” Times have clearly changed since 1975.

And how do Brad and Janet deal with their car troubles? Well, they have sex, of course! The first sex scene in this film takes place in this car, and we soon realize that this little Janet is definitely not as innocent as the original ;)

Soon after, they end up in the castle (in lieu of the original spaceship) where the world of mayhem begins. Frank ‘N Beans introduces Brad and Janet to his world of “filming fornication” with a sassy musical number, and then he lets them know that he is planning on creating an amazing adult film… starring the oh-so-innocent Janet!

(check out Brad and Janet as they enter Frank’s lair… errr castle)

Soon enough, we are introduced to the cast of parodied characters populating the castle. Magenta is now Vagina (Nikki Tyler), Riff Raff is now Stiff Staff (Randy Spears), and Columbia is now Euphoria (Alektra Blue). Personally, I loved the name changes… and all the sexual additions that came along with them.

As soon as everyone is introduced we get our very first girl-girl sex scene between EUPHORIA AND VAGINA! Oh, what I had always wished would happen in the original film! Frank is directing this sex scene, and it’s very interesting to see through the eye of the camera in this scene. We get a glimpse of Stiff Staff’s filming perspective and many close ups.

The last interesting name change comes with the character of Rocky err… Rocki with an “I.” Yes, Rocki (Puma Swede) is female in this version, and with that addition I am pleased to tell you that my perfect version of this film was certainly created! Rocki is supposed to be Frank’s marvelous porn star creation who will soon reach adult super stardom and fame.

Check out Frank’s first reveal of Rocki:

Soon enough though, right after her sex scene with Janet, we find out that Rocki does not want to be a porn star.  In what is a rather poignant exchange between her and Janet, we learn that what she really wants is to direct.  After this revelation from the (supposed) ultimate porn performer, innocent reticent Janet seems to be much more comfortable shedding her clothes in front of a camera.

Which brings us to the grand finale…

Now, before I get into describing this finale I would like to mention that during the entire film I was wondering what had happened to my favorite song. There were plenty of musical numbers throughout Rocki, but no mention of Rocky’s veritable theme song – “The Time Warp.” How on earth was this possible? This was the catchiest and most popular song in the original film! Surely this was an oversight, a mistake of epic proportions…

But watch all the way through and you will see – no mistake at all! The last surprising twist in this marvelous film is that they saved this delightful number for the end… BUT instead of singing “Let’s do the time warp agaaaiiin!,” everyone was singing: “Let’s have an orgy agaaaaiiiin.”

And “have an orgy” is what they did, ladies and gentlemen. An eighteen-minute orgy that consisted of every single pairing of characters you could possibly think of, doing it everywhere from the floor to the table to the couch. Wow! What a way to end a film on a high note – with dozens of characters reaching sexual nirvana.

In my opinion, this film was memorable for many reasons. The most important one is that it stayed true to the original while opening up a plethora of sexual adventures that most people have been fantasizing about since they first watched Rocky. I know I was ;)

Recommended for: The Rocky Horror Picture Show fans, musical lovers, those who love watching adult films with amazing costumes (which soon come off!), people who like their adult films to have an interesting plot, and anyone that likes to dance and sing whilst getting off – yes!

BTS: Rocki had the most elaborate special features I have ever come across in an adult film. The special features were even put on their very own DVD (just goes to show you how many features there were).

The main menu was divided up into thirteen different sections ranging from interviews, to the making of, to the minuscule details that went along with the makeup designs (which were very very cool). My favorite was the interviews section because each actor had a chance to let the audience know how they felt about the production, their favorite part, etc… Oh, and how could I forget the auditions? Ha. It’s always wonderful to watch adult film stars belt out high notes!
